100 New Born Chicks At Jurong Bird Park Since 2020 Around 50 Are Threatened Species
Jurong Bird Park (JBP) has opened back to the public after the earlier Covid-19 Pandemic and since the beginning of this year, over 100 baby chicks have been born out and half of these chicks are from threatened species.
These included a pair of critically endangered red-fronted macaws, three endangered white cockatoos, and three blue-eyed cockatoos.
The white cockatoos and blue-eyed cockatoo are also a vulnerable species listed in IUCN’s Red List.
