It might be a good idea to start looking for these mosquito breeding sites and take precautions on helping out to prevent the dengue outbreak. Here are some useful ideas on how to prevent and discovers these mosquito breeding sites.

1. Using floral scented products – these nice floral scents might provide good smell to us, but do you know that mosquitoes are also attracted to these smell too. So try to switch to peppermint or lemongrass oil is a good alternative.

7. Not capping bamboo pole holder when not in use – if you are living in an HDB unit, you will be familiar with bamboo pole holder that is meant for hanging laundry pole, and these can easily collect water on rainy days. So you can replace regular caps with automatic bamboo pole covers ($12.90). The flap at the front prevents water from entering at all times, and there’s a water drainage gap in case water does enter your bamboo pole holder.
