Teen Who Spat From Railings To Subway Diners Below At Bugis Junctions Pleads Guilty
Sometimes, being young kids might be leading them to do some stupid but most of the time with the technologies today, it might be pretty stupid to do something without thinking twice as a kid who was 18-year-old who seems to ignore the seriousness of the Covid-19, who was caught in a video recording him spitting from the top floor in Bugis Junctions down to the diners area of a Subway outlet below at basement 1.
On 28 Feb, Cai Jiaxu, along with his friends – 17-year-old Gerald Chan Weiheng and 19-year-old Jolin Huang Rui Xian – were on the 4th level of Bugis Junction shopping mall. Out of their boredom, they decided to spit this over the railing to get a reaction from their friends. Jiaxu, who is a polytechnic student now has pleaded guilty to one of the charges and was sent to a jail sentence of up to three months, a fine of up to $2,000, or both.
As he is currently under 21, the judge has called for an assessment to determine whether he is suitable for probation instead. He is due to return to court on 26 Aug for sentencing. So the lesson here is that maybe it will be more appropriate to think twice before doing something as it might really get you into serious trouble.
