China President Congratulate PM Lee On Election Victory

In 2020, which marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China. As Chinese President Xi Jinping called to congratulates Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong over the phone on July 14 after the election victory of PAP party.
During the conversation, they both expressed appreciation for the mutual assistance and support during the Covid-19 outbreak and both leaders also exchanged views on ways to facilitate the economic recovery during this period of time by strengthening the cross-border and supply chain connectivity to ensure the trade and investment smooth on-going cooperation.
In addition, Xi also noted that both counts are no establishing a fast lane for necessary personnel exchanges which will surely improve the business environment for both countries. Besides strengthening anti-epidemic cooperation between both countries to ensure the health and safety of citizens on both sides, both countries should “make good use” of the fast lane to speed up the resumption of work, aiding the recovery of both economies, Xi said.
