Hidden HDB Cafe with IG-Worthy Cakes And Unique Flavours
A hidden HDB cafe with the name of The Better Half which sells beautiful cakes and pastries. With this whole cafe owned and operated by a young duo who begin their Barry goods business with an online store and after success on and a half year later, this couple took the business into a shop and still with their online store with more pastries pushed out every day.
You can find their Rose Raspberry cake ($8) which are stood tall with tow layer of rose-infused sponge and raspberry cream cheese frosting which sandwiched between. Their Earl Grey Lemon cake is sold at $5.50 which is more like a banana bread like a sponge that has a typical dense cake texture. While their Gula Melaka Avocado ($8) is featuring by layers of sponge sweetened with gula Melaka and smooth avocado buttercream.
With the shop only five minutes away from Outram Park Mrt Station, this shop is a single narrow unit which is nestled in limited space under the HDB block and it has some really lovely interior decoration with a small space that can fit 4 people to dine-in here.
