7 Worker Dormitories Free From Covid-19 with 600 Cleared So Far
With the rising numbers of Covid-19 cases in the community, the government is taking extra precautious steps to ensure the spread of this virus is under contained with the recent news that 7 more additional migrant worker dormitories have been cleared from Covid-19 patients.
The list of dormitories which has been cleaned and cleansed from the courtesy of Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is:
- 384 on 7 Jul
- 78 on 30 Jun
- 31 on 23 Jun
- 42 on 16 Jun
- 30 on 9 Jun
- 60 on 1 Jun
With more than 10,000 swab test are being conducted daily to ensure and identity Covid-19 clusters, as the migrant worker group are the particular group which is more vulnerable against Covid-19 infections.

The government also implemented a new programme that are targeting to improve the living standards of the dormitories which are :
- A minimum of 6 sq m of unshared living space per resident
- A maximum of 10 single-decked beds with 1m spacing per room
- One shared bathroom for every 5 beds
- 15 sickbay beds per 1,000-bed space.
