MTF Mentioned Bars and Pubs Will Not Reopens Soon

The Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) co-chair Lawrence Wong said in a press conference on July 2 that due to Phase 2 are still in its early period. The monitoring process is still undergoing and it is very crucial to ensure the Covid-19 pandemic is under controls.

Therefore, it is very important for all Singaporean to not be relaxed anytime soon. This means that the government is not looking forwards to these few things which will even continue onto Phase 3. Few of these rules which are currently still applied are:
- Social gatherings will continue to be limited to groups of five
- Bars and pubs will not reopen anytime soon
- Large-scale events, sporting or otherwise, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), concerts, and similar programs are unlikely to resume in the near future
