Are you looking for something sweet but won’t cost a hole in your wallet. Then here are 10 must try-out dessert spots which are cheap and affordable.

 

1. Mr. Baguette – with their clearly lava-cake inspired dessert variations from Chocolate lava, to red velvet lava in just around ($2).

2. Putu Piring Haig Road – this 80 years old local flavoured treats are definitely something you should their out. with the richness and sweetness from the dark sugar syrup. With only $2 for 5pcs, this is a steal for sure.

3. Jin Jin Dessert –  if you are looking for something cold, you can try out this Power Chendol for only $2, with soft ice flakes surrounded with thick, caramel gula Melaka syrup and combination of coconut milk and sold cendol jelly.

5. The Original Pisang Keju – every tried deep-fried banana, if you love these deep-fried crispy fried banana then this might be a great place for you as they have varieties of offering on top which you can choose from chocolate, salted caramel, condensed milk and chocolate rice.

6. Dessert Monster – If you are an ice cream lover, then this dessert monster is a must-try for you, with 3 scoops of Thai milk tea ice cream for $4 and additional topping for only $0.80, this is a must-try out ice-cream. Plus you can try out their Pearly Taho for only $2.50 with borne sugar pearls and gula Melaka syrup.

7. Uncle JImmy’s Ice Cream Cart – the famous among locals for his free ice-cream on 22 March on a few years ago due to celebrating his birthdays, you can try out his traditional ice-cream sandwich.

8. The Headless Baker – If you like cakes, perhaps this Ghim Moh stall with just $2 will be a great choice for you. Together with their Earl Grey Lavender Bundt Cake for $4 and Lemon Pistachio for $3.

9. Woong Kee Traditional Beancurd – this traditional beacurd is made with black soybeans and paired with extremely well sugar syrup which is milked, not too sweet and silky soft beancurds. With only #2.20 per bowl, it is pretty affordable for sure.

10. 75 Ah Bailing Peanut Soup – this shop offers you a chewy mochi balls with sweet peanuts or black sesame which are one of the favourite traditional desserts around.
