Amoy Street Chico Loco and Moonstone Suspended Operation After Operating Past 10.35 pm
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has suspended 2 businesses at Amoy Street to stop operating with immediate effect after failing to follow the safe management measurements during this Phase 2 period. The Mexican restaurant Chico Loco and Moonstone bar were both suspended after the STB’s Enforcement Officer runs a check on their premises on June 27, in addition to the suspension, both restaurants have been issued a composition fine of $1,000 each.
According to one of the bar owner explanation on their Facebook post, they did advice customer or patrons to not take the 10.30 pm alcohol ban lightly, due to sometimes there will be customer still lingering around after passing the 10.30 pm timeline due to their drinks haven’t finished and was ordered earlier. Lastly, both the bar also thanked all the customers who have been supporting during the difficult time, but they are asking the customer to try to make things easy for them as the extra time after 10.30 pm will result in full closure of the F&B business if get caught.
