Business as Usual – Hairdresser Cuts Holes In Umbrella To Create Barrier Between Clients

by Brian Chan March 27, 2020

The whole world is impacted by the Covid-19 and there are many creative ways that people are coming up to ensure that their business runs as usual.

One hair salon in the Netherlands has step out of the box in attempt to overcome these barriers by manufacturing a barrier of their own. We would say that it’s one and only in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19

Countries the world over are practicing social distancing measures, but this social distancing clearly can’t be followed when cutting someone’s hair. This inspired a stylist at Bella Rosa salon in Oss to create a makeshift shield out of a brolly with two armholes and two eyeholes cut into it.

Clearly, the contraption made the hairdresser look ridiculous, but the innovation went viral on Facebook, with footage of the device in use receiving more than 82,000 shares.

There are different mix of reaction from the people. One person said: “You have an invention for everything, right. Super woman.” While another less flattering comment read simply: “Bunch of lunatics.”

So what do you think? Do you think this is creative and will you do everything it takes to ensure that you business is running as usual?
