Talk About Dedication – 3,000 Retired Nurses to Return to Service Amid of Covid-19 Pandemic

by Brian Chan March 27, 2020

We have heard many stories on how the medical front-liner are sacrificing themselves to combat the Covid-19 and the world is now in need for more medical staff to help out.

It’s reported that in Malaysia, 3,000 retired malaysian nurses volunteer at covid-19 frontlines to provide much-needed manpower boost needed to help out on this pandemic. This will ensure Malaysia has sufficient manpower to deal with the growing pandemic and all patient are getting the necessary attention.

As reported by Malay Mail, Malaysia’s Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the ministry is trying to establish the expertise of each nurse to be able to deploy them appropriately. This is to ensure the retired nurses can contribute best in the departments they are most experienced in, ranging from Intensive Care Unit duties to assisting in operating theatres. Malaysia needed more manpower to help and combat this pandemic.

Covid-19 in Malaysia has been growing rapid though not as high as Italy thus Malaysia need as much as possible the resources that they can get to battle this.

From the bottom of the heard, these healthcare heroes really do deserve our admiration and gratitude. Special thaks to medical staff around the world who are putting their best foot forward to contain the pandemic.
