Pray Kwan Yin Ma Also Need To Practise Social Distancing In Queue at Waterloo Street Temple Devotees

It’s becoming a new norm for us to practise social distancing even when you want to pray and worship. The Waterloo 100-Year-Old Kwan Yin Temple’s is practicing this due to the Covid-19. Can’t blame them as this Waterloo Street, the famous Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple is always bustling with Singaporeans and tourists and better be safe then sorry.

But with this implementation, it has cause a large queue inside and outside of the temple while people wait for their turn to pray.

Aside from that, visitors are also not allowed to use bamboo lots (qian). The reason why is simply because it is shared by different people, and it’s hard to facilitate a disinfection procedure for the item after each use. This is the first time in history that the service is unavailable in over 100 years but nevertheless, such precautions enable the temple to better protect temple-goers

The temple has also removed the mats, and visitors are now required to stand in line within the hall in positions marked out to allow social distancing.z
