Wah sei. Roti Prata now has a new canggih name and it’s called “Asian Flat Croissant”. Sounds damn high class and never thought one of our local food got so nice name
This great naming was given by a cooking website, where they want to take roti prata to a whole new level and making them looks very international! The roti prata is called The Asian Flat Croissant.
Yep and yep … You didn’t read that wrong. Level up for our Singaporean daily food
But why la? Why making it sound so canggih one? Basically the Nyonya Cooking, is reportedly founded by a Malaysian which is now living in Germany. The main interest of this website is basically to shares Southeast Asian recipes so we can understand why roti prata was on its list.
Why name it croissant? According to them, the ‘croissant’ label was meant to make the dish relatable to those who aren’t familiar with it.
So what do you think? Do you think it’s sounds better as roti prata or should we rename it to Asian Flat Croissant!?
