As you all might know that the Coronavirus is not that great with heat. If the virus left under the sun, it will cause it to dry out, causing the membrane to tear, and this would make it unviable – as per reported by Straits Times
Thus with this said, by you turning off the air-conditioner, open the windows, and leave the fan running for enhanced ventilation is also a way that can help to prevent the coronavirus spread. Lucky for us, Singapore’s tropical weather is naturally not conducive for them
However, you know we Singaporean can’t stand the heat and we need to be in air condition places at all time thus the scientists is recommending people hang out in non-air-conditioned rooms. We know it’s a bit hot but it’s better then kena the virus.
Our Ministry of Health’s (MOH) chief health scientist, Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, dished out some of these advice at a press conference on Monday, Feb. 10 where he has mentioned that The likelihood of viral persistence outdoors is lower. Tan said hot and humid climates are not conducive for viruses to thrive.
Another advice from Professor Wang Linfa, director for the programme in emerging infectious diseases at the Duke-NUS Medical School, where he has mentioned that the sun is could aid in the fight against the virus. The ultra-violet rays and heat from the sun could kill the virus. Plus the Vitamin D can also boost the immune system.
So go ahead and do some sun bathing and turning off your aircond cause it helps. Make sure you also share this with your friends and family and let them know too
