For those who aren’t aware of the old grandparents’ days where we don’t have the privileges to taboo stuff using plastic bag but only either newspaper or some brown paper. But once upon a time, there are people who are using condensed milk tin cans for kopi takeaways where somehow this scene gradually becomes a rare sight.

However, recently a netizen named Mr Ang featured the stall in the Can Eat! Hawker Food Facebook group, evoking a strong sense of nostalgia for those who grew up in the 50s and 60s. Where customers who are familiar with this stall get to dabao their kopi in a metal tin can. This stall wich is located along Choa Chu Kang Ave 1, and as you take a closer look at the stall you can find there are tin cans with raffia strings hanging around which the stall owner will use it to pours kopi into one of these can for them to dabao back home.
These can were washed, recycled and reuse which is more sustainable than the disposable option we are used to it now. You can find that you will not get used to how to drink from this can, but you can just press down one of the sides to pull the lid up from the opposite corner and it will be served just like a cup of kopi.
