We understand that there are many activities that need to pay in New Zealand (e.g. such as kayaking with seals, whale watching, and bungee jumping) which is excited but there are actually lots of other amazing experiences you can enjoy for free!

Here are 5 must-do activities you can do for free in New Zealand:

You will surprise on how the nature is being treasured and preserved here. This is an effort from everyone where they are doing their part to keep things clean in support of Tiaki. So you can actually have a play/picnic/stroll around their public park and you will surely love the sight of their natural heritage, forests, wildlife, and landscapes. More importantly, you don’t even need to pay a cent for this!

2. Walk along the Wellington Waterfront and enjoy a heritage trail

This is something that you need do. Walk along Wellington Waterfront is a must-do as the waters are clear blue and the views are just stunning. While walking, you can also enjoy the fresh air and chill winds where it’s hard to get it in Singapore

For added fun, take one of the Heritage Trails. You’ll likely spot the signs explaining landmarks while you walk, but you can also download the Heritage Trail booklets online, or pick up a physical booklet from the Waterfront Project Information Centre for free. Just follow the path, enjoy the views, and learn about Wellington’s history!

You don’t even have to do much or go far, to enjoy the views.

Public libraries in New Zealand are free for everyone. You can read all you want and just loiter in the library for the whole day. It’s bright, cozy, and welcoming, it’s a great place to relax and hang out.
