There was a rather interesting report has emerged recently which stated that Apple might have kick-started the production of iPhone X once again. Previously, it was rumour that the iPhone X will cease production and this rumour is backed by theory that the phone was no longer on sale through Apple’s official website. This iPhone X sale were removed when Apple launched the iPhone XR although consumers in Singapore still able to obtain it from retailers.
It looks like the sales of the iPhone X isn’t doing too well and according to Wall Street Journal & 9to5mac who has spoken to sources within Apple’s supply chain that the decision to resume the production of iPhone X is apparently because of the commitment that the company have towards the OLED panels that it has ordered from Samsung which panel is originally from iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Due to the sales not doing so well, the production of these two phones has been reduced which naturally has led to excess OLED panels.
Given that iPhone X is still in demand, it is a rather sound decision by Apple although this is apparently not the first time that the company has brought back discontinued product into life again.
