Google’s latest Pixel 5, where Google Japan has revealed that the Pixel 5 cost will only be around ¥74,800 in Japan, which translates to roughly S$977. With this price comparison news which is usually fairly comparable, it might be true that the Pixel 5 will come under $1K for the least base model.
The big reason for the Pixel 5 due to it’s cheaper is because of the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus found in many 2020 Android flagships. Other rumored specs include dual rear cameras (one being a wide-angle) and the return of the fingerprint sensor.
