Vertical Vegetable Farm Might be the New Eco-Towns Idea On HDB Flats
With the Tampines Town Council’s latest announcement in March, there will be some new greenery farming ideas where some HDB flat in Tampines might have a vertical vegetable farm on the wall. The first attempt will be installed on Blk 146 where vegetables such as milk cabbage, red spinach, kailan, and choy sum will be planted.
Besides this, there will be also food waste recycling facilities at Tampines West and Black Soldier fly facilities at Tampines Park. Where these black soldier larvae can break down the food waste to make it into fertilizer. Then the larvae will be used to feed tilapia fish at the ponds in Tampines park.
