United States Department of Commerce Bans Tik Tok and WeChat Starting Sunday 20 Sept
It seems the China-US Media war hasn’t come to an end as the latest announcement by The United States Department of Commerce has mentioned that the famous video app TikTok and WeChat will be banned in the United States starting from this 20 September (Sunday) onwards.
This is due to the earlier failed agreement that these 2 software giant companies were sold to U.S owners. Where the admin claiming that the Chinese Communist Party was using these 2 apps to collect data and threaten the national security, foreign policy, and the economy of the United States.
TikTok which is the popular GenZ which has an estimated around 65 million to 80 million users in the U.S, while WeChat is popular among the Chinese American community has around 19 million users in the U.S alone. Hopefully, some good news will appear for these U.S citizens on these 2 applications.
