Apple is always one step ahead of Everyone and Now They Want To Remove iPhone Lightning Port as Well
Back in two years ago, Apple made a controversial decision by eliminating the 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and now they would want to remove the lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter.
They would really want to push their wireless push as there are multiple reports reporting that they are heading towards this direction!
According to a research note by MacRumors, Apple will no longer bundle their iPhone models with a headphone dongle. The research note claims that Cirrus Logic, a supplier for the adapter has “confirmed” that the adapter will not be included in the box with the new iPhones.
Even despite all of this, Apple will continue selling the 3.5mm adapter separately for users who still have not transitioned into the wireless era. The 3.5mm adapter is currently priced at RM46 in Malaysia.
The controversial decision of taking off the headphone jack two years ago has attracted widespread criticism from the public but Apple just don’t care. Now that they want to remove the dongle, we can imagine how people furious people will be if these rumours turn out to be true.
But even said so, we have seen that this market is slowly following the Apple trend where OPPO’s Find X and the Xiaomi Mi 8, both of which do not have a headphone jack attached.
So what you think of this next moving forward plan from Apple? What would be your reaction?
