The Kayaking 1 STAR Personal Skill Award is designed for beginners and covers general safety and basic paddling techniques to safely manoeuvre a kayak on flat water. The minimum age to attend the class is 12 years old. In addition, participants must have the ability to swim 50m with a personal flotation device.
