Covid-19: People’s “sunbathing” to enhance immunity! Indonesia confirmed cases to break 6,000!

by king April 20, 2020

(Jakarta News) As of this morning (20th April 2020), Indonesia and the Philippines have confirmed more than 6,000 cases of coronavirus. Among them, Indonesia has a cumulative number of 6,248 cases, making it the Southeast Asia country with the most infections, of which 535 people are incurable. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Philippines is 6,087.

Locals believe that sun exposure can increase immunity and help reduce the risk of viruses. The people in the capital Jakarta have done “sunbathing” outside the house, hoping to use this to fight the virus.

With the epidemic raging, Indonesia will impose stricter social isolation regulations on millions of people on the main islands of Java and West Sumatra.

Indonesian Minister of Health said yesterday that similar orders have been issued to Zhige and West Sumatra in Central Java. He said the spread rate in these areas has increased significantly, and Indonesia will implement large-scale social restrictions in five areas in West Java, which can accommodate a total of nearly 9 million people.

120,000 people in the Philippines violated the closure order

In the Philippines, the number of confirmed cases on Saturday also broke 6,000 cases, reaching 6,087 cases, and 397 people died.

Police said that 120,000 people violated the closure order, including participating in cockfighting and boxing competitions. President of Philippines warned the military and police to intervene. The situation would be like martial law.
