Huawei has just announced their first car to be sold in their flagship store in China which is the Seres SF5 where it will be pushing for its 1+8+N ecosystem building efforts where an electric car company from the Chinese company would be arriving sometime this year and it is finally here.
The Seres SF5 isn’t technically a pure EV (Electric Vehicle) where it is an extended-range electric vehicle where if you are looking for a larger battery than a conventional hybrid car where there is still a combustion engine then this might be not the complete 100 percent EV car. On the outside, Seres SF5 is where Huawei has hand in the design with the Huawei DriveONE Three-in-One Electric Drive system. This combines to offer a flexible 180km in pure electric mode or over 1,000km in the extended-range mode for long-distance travelers. Rather impressive is the 0-100km/h time of just 4.68s, too.
This acceleration will be helped by the lightweight aluminum chassis with four balls join double-wishbone front suspension and trapezoidal multi-link rear suspension. These essentially integrate compatible mobile phone apps onto the SP5’s control panel, while the car in itself will be integrated into Huawei’s ecosystem of smart devices. You’ll supposedly be able to control smart home devices right from your car—stuff like turning on air-conditioners, and the like.
The new Seres SF5 will be available in Huawei Stores in China from the 21st of April 2021, with four colors available: Deep Ocean Blue, Charcoal Black, Pearl White, and Titanium Silver Grey. Test drives will also be available, with official pricing set at CNY 246,800 ($50,490) for the 4WD version, and CNY 216,800 ($44,340) for the 2WD version.
Huawei where after two days of selling cars the order has exceeded 3,000 unit and the Electric Car company Cyrus and Huawei where they recently have reached a cooperation to launch Cyrus Huawei Smart Selection SF5 and since April 21, online and offline reservation have been opened simultaneously and the Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said that China’s 30 million vehicles are targetted per year and more in future.
