S’pore Concern over Halal meat from Malaysia With the Recent News of Illegal Halal meat Cartel
Singapore’s authorities are looking into the allegations raised by the public after the news of importation and packaging of halal meat in Malaysia after the recent news of illegal or fake halal meat cartel activities. In the official Facebook page, the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) will determine if the alleged improprieties will affect the Singapore market or not.
Currently, MUIS is also requesting relevant authority in Malaysia to request for more information as these frozen meat from Malaysia might have imported into Singapore too. The scene of the illegal Halal Meat cartel on Malaysia side is really worrying to a lot of Muslim citizens here in Singapore after the news of this Meat Cartel has been operating for more than 40 years in the background.
