Handheld Gaming PC with Integrated Controller and Slide Out Keyboard
If you always find that you are looking for some portability with your work and gaming world when it comes to computer gaming, and you find that those android base or iOS base system isn’t just the right thing for you. Then check out this all new gaming PC which is a crowd funded campaign for $799 where the GPD Win 3 is a portable gaming Window 10 small PC with a game pad integrated into the hardware in a 5.5-inch 720p screen resolutions.
This device has a slides up screen which will reveal the fully integrated game pad with 2 joysticks, 4 triggers, a directional pad and 4 action buttons. Which is basically combining window PC ability with console all together. With an air intake vents on the rear and exhaust vent on the top, USB-A port, power key, headphone jack and built-in microphone on the top while you will find loudspeakers and USB-C thunderbolt 4.0 port on the bottom.
This hardware is inspired by the Sony Vaio VGN-UX series where it is the Sony handheld PC released to the market back in 2006 which cost USD $2,000 with window XP and painfully slow. However, the GPD Win3 will be equipped to handle modern PC game which the device is powered by the latest 11th generation of Intel Core i5(2.4 – 4.2GHz) or i7 (2.8 – 4.7 GHz) and come paired with 16 GB of LPDDR4 RAM with 1 TB of internal PCIe 3.0 SSD storage. It’s got an Intel Xe GPU and comes with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and support for a microSD card.
The Win 3 also will be powered by a 65W Power Delivery charger while the battery will last between 2 and 3 hours when playing heavy games and 6-8 hours with moderate use and 11 hours for light usage. While games can be played on the 720p screen in handheld mode and the device also can be docked to support a host of I/O connection such as HDMI 2.0b, 1Gbps Ethernet, USB-C X1, USB-A X3.
Perhaps this will be a window future platform of laptops to go head to head against those Android and iOS devices in the future. 😀
