Owners of Geylang Terrace Refuse to Move out Despite Millions Offers And Will Get Sandwiched By High Rise

The Macly Group who has a plan for developing the upcoming condo along Guillemard Road where their project somehow faced something special where 2 terrace house owners in Geylang refused to sold their homes to the condominium developer due to their personal reason despite 2 attempt approach by the developer.

The owner of the holdout along Lorong 28 Geylang is Mr. Goh, a 60-year-old hawker by trade mentioned that the house original belongs to her mother and he couldn’t find another house which has a huge garden and freehold anymore with this price where he can enjoy his gardening and pet keeping hobby of his. Despite being offered 2 times by the developer to sell his house to them. While another lot where the holdout property was a Buddhism prayer hall where the lady living on the premises is the caretaker of the hall and not the owner and she doesn’t know the reason why the owner is not selling the property.

Despite this, the Noma residential project which will be complete in 2023 and with the 2 plot of land by the holdout property, Macly Group could build least 20 more unit and this project early bird sales on August 2020 buyers snaped of 34 of the 50 units at a median price of $1,639 per sq ft and based on the $20.55 million price tag, it appears that Macly Group has poised a decent profit as the original price is around $700 sq ft.

So perhaps these 2 holdout property, will become one famous spot in the future and it will certainly stand out among even after sandwiched by these high-rise buildings.
