If salmon is one of those foods that somehow always finds its way into your shopping basket, there is a good reason to keep an eye on DON DON DONKI Singapore this week. In conjunction with World Salmon Day, DON DON DONKI is offering a range of special prices on fresh Atlantic salmon, sashimi and sushi from 8 to 11 October 2026.
For anyone planning a seafood meal at home, this short promotion could be a useful opportunity to pick up salmon at considerably lower prices than the usual selling prices. The selection covers different cuts and formats, so shoppers can choose between buying salmon to prepare themselves or picking up ready-to-eat sashimi and sushi for a quick meal.
The promotion is available at DON DON DONKI stores across Singapore, with the exception of the outlet at Jewel Changi Airport. As with many fresh-food promotions, the offers are available while stocks last, so shoppers who have a particular salmon product in mind should avoid waiting until the final day.
Fresh Atlantic Salmon At Lower Prices
One of the more interesting offers in this promotion is the Atlantic Salmon (Whole), priced at just $1.99 per 100g, down from the usual price of $2.99 per 100g. For households that enjoy preparing salmon at home, buying a larger cut can give more flexibility when deciding how to cook it.
The whole salmon option can be particularly appealing for people who enjoy experimenting in the kitchen. It can be portioned for different meals, prepared as a main dish, or used for a family seafood dinner. At $1.99 per 100g, the promotion gives shoppers a chance to stock up without paying the usual price.
There is also an Atlantic Salmon Head promotion at $3.90 per pack, compared with the usual $5.80. Salmon heads are often overlooked, but they can be used to prepare soups, stocks and other dishes where the rich flavour of the fish can add plenty of depth.
For shoppers who prefer more convenient cuts, DON DON DONKI is also offering Atlantic Salmon Kirimi Mega Pack at $2.99 per 100g, reduced from $4.50 per 100g. The regular Atlantic Salmon Kirimi is also $2.99 per 100g, compared with its usual price of $5.50.
These cuts can be a practical choice for preparing meals at home because they require less preparation than buying a whole fish. Depending on how shoppers like their salmon, the pieces can be pan-fried, grilled, baked or incorporated into other recipes.
A Deal For Salmon Lovers Who Prefer Ready-To-Eat Options
Not everyone wants to spend time preparing seafood, and that is where the ready-to-eat selections become particularly interesting.
The Atlantic Salmon Sashimi Platter is available at $36.90, reduced from $41.90. For a weekend gathering, casual dinner at home or simply a meal for salmon lovers, a sashimi platter can make putting together a Japanese-style meal much easier.
There is also an Atlantic Salmon Sashimi 20-piece option priced at $14.90, compared with the usual $19.90. This is one of the more accessible options in the promotion, particularly for shoppers who want sashimi without committing to a larger platter.
For a quick meal, the Salmon Sushi 15-piece set is priced at $12.90 instead of $15.90. That makes it an easy option to pick up while shopping for other groceries, especially if there is no time to prepare dinner at home.
Why This Promotion Is Worth Checking Out
The biggest attraction here is the variety. Rather than having just one discounted salmon product, DON DON DONKI has put together several options covering whole salmon, salmon heads, kirimi cuts, portion cuts, sashimi and sushi.
The Atlantic Salmon Portion Cut is priced at $2.99 per 100g, down from the usual $5.50. This represents a sizeable reduction and could be useful for anyone looking for convenient portions for cooking at home.
For shoppers who normally buy salmon anyway, promotions like this can be a good way to reduce the cost of a planned meal rather than buying something simply because it is on sale. Salmon is versatile enough to work across several types of meals, from a simple grilled dinner to Japanese-inspired dishes.
It can also be a good excuse to plan a seafood-focused weekend. Pick up the salmon, add some rice, vegetables and other favourite sides, and there is little need to spend heavily on dining out. Alternatively, the sashimi and sushi options make it possible to enjoy a Japanese-style meal at home with minimal preparation.
Plan Your Shopping Before Heading Down
As the promotion runs only from 8 to 11 October 2026, this is a relatively short window. Shoppers should therefore plan their visit rather than assuming every promotional item will still be available throughout the campaign.
The promotion is available at DON DON DONKI stores in Singapore, except Jewel Changi Airport. Since the offers are subject to availability and are stated to be valid while stocks last, popular items may sell out earlier than expected.
It is also worth deciding beforehand what type of salmon is actually needed. Someone planning to cook dinner for the family may find the whole salmon, kirimi or portion-cut options more useful, while shoppers looking for an easy meal may prefer the 20-piece sashimi or 15-piece sushi sets.
Comparing the promotional price with the stated usual price can also help shoppers see where the larger savings are. The Portion Cut, for example, drops from $5.50 to $2.99 per 100g, while the regular Kirimi falls from $5.50 to $2.99 per 100g. Those are substantial reductions for anyone who already has salmon on their shopping list.
A Good Weekend Seafood Treat
World Salmon Day provides a timely reason to enjoy one of the most popular seafood choices, and this DON DON DONKI promotion makes the occasion a little more affordable.
Whether the plan is to prepare salmon at home, serve sashimi to friends and family or simply pick up a sushi set for a convenient meal, there are several choices to consider. The fact that the promotion covers different price points also means shoppers do not necessarily need to spend a large amount to take advantage of it.
For regular DON DON DONKI shoppers, it is worth checking the nearest participating store between 8 and 11 October. For salmon fans, it could be the perfect time to stock up for a seafood dinner or enjoy a ready-to-eat Japanese meal at a lower price.
Just remember that this is a limited-time fresh-food promotion and all the promotional items are available while stocks last. So, if the discounted salmon catches your attention, going earlier in the promotion period is likely to give shoppers the best chance of finding their preferred option.
With whole salmon from $1.99 per 100g, sashimi from $14.90 for 20 pieces and sushi from $12.90 for 15 pieces, there is plenty to consider for a tasty and potentially more affordable seafood weekend in Singapore.
