If sushi is one of those foods that is almost impossible to say no to, there is a particularly tempting reason to head to Hougang Mall this week. Sushi Express is running a limited-time promotion where every plate is just $1.50++, giving sushi lovers the chance to enjoy a proper feast without watching the price of every individual plate climb too quickly.

The promotion is available for only three days, from 7 to 9 October 2026, and is exclusively available at Sushi Express @ Hougang Mall. With more than 80 varieties available to choose from, there is plenty of room to mix and match different types of sushi, whether the plan is to have a quick meal, bring the family out for dinner or simply satisfy a serious sushi craving.

The biggest attraction is straightforward: all plates are priced at $1.50++ during the promotion. Rather than having to pick just one or two favourites because of the cost, diners can sample a wider selection and enjoy the experience of having plate after plate arrive at the table.

For anyone who enjoys variety, that makes this promotion especially interesting.

More Sushi, More Choices, Same $1.50++ Plate Price

One of the difficulties with dining out with a group is finding something that everyone likes. Sushi can make that a little easier because there are usually plenty of choices to suit different tastes.

At Sushi Express Hougang Mall, diners can choose from over 80 varieties during the promotion. That means there is plenty to explore instead of ordering the same few pieces every time.

Some people may naturally head straight for their favourite sushi, while others might enjoy trying something different from the usual order. With all plates at $1.50++ during this three-day promotion, it becomes much easier to add a few extra varieties to the meal and turn lunch or dinner into a tasting session.

It is also a good opportunity for families and groups of friends. Rather than everyone ordering completely separate meals, diners can share plates, compare favourites and keep the meal moving as everyone picks something they want to try.

And when there are more than 80 varieties available, there is a good chance that even the fussiest member of the group can find something appealing.

A Good Excuse for a Sushi Feast

There is something quite enjoyable about a sushi meal where the table gradually fills up with colourful plates. Instead of simply ordering one main dish and finishing the meal, diners can take their time choosing different plates and building their own combination.

The $1.50++ promotion makes that experience considerably more affordable.

For a couple, it could be a casual meal after shopping around Hougang Mall. For a group of friends, it could turn into a fun challenge to see how many different varieties everyone can try. Families can also make the meal more interactive, particularly when children get to choose their own favourites.

The important thing to remember is that the promotion is only running for three days. It is therefore worth planning the visit rather than assuming the offer will still be available the following week.

Why Visit During This Promotion?

The obvious reason is the price. $1.50++ per plate is an attractive offer when there are more than 80 varieties to choose from.

However, the variety is arguably just as important as the discount.

A promotion can be less exciting if it only applies to a small selection of items that nobody particularly wants. In this case, Sushi Express is putting the spotlight on all plates, giving diners considerably more flexibility when deciding what to eat.

It also makes the promotion suitable for different types of visits. Someone who wants a lighter meal can simply choose a smaller number of plates, while a group looking for a bigger feast can order more varieties and share them around the table.

There is also no need to make the meal overly complicated. The appeal is simply to arrive hungry, choose the sushi that looks good and enjoy the experience.

Remember the 40-Minute Dining Time

There is one important condition diners should keep in mind before heading over. Dining time is limited to 40 minutes during the promotion.

That means it is a good idea to have an idea of what to try before sitting down. The 40-minute limit does not necessarily mean the meal has to feel rushed, but diners should be mindful of the available time.

For larger groups, deciding what everyone wants early can help keep things moving. It may also be useful to start with a few different varieties, see which ones everyone enjoys and then continue from there.

The time limit is particularly important for anyone planning to visit during a busy period. Since this is a short three-day promotion with an attractive price, Sushi Express Hougang Mall may be a popular choice for sushi fans.

A Budget-Friendly Meal at Hougang Mall

For shoppers and residents around Hougang, the location makes this promotion convenient as well. Sushi Express @ Hougang Mall is located at 90 Hougang Ave 10, #04-10A, Singapore 538766.

That makes it easy to combine the sushi visit with a shopping trip or an outing around the area. Instead of travelling across Singapore specifically for a discounted meal, diners in and around Hougang can take advantage of the promotion right at the mall.

It can also be a useful option when deciding where to meet friends or family for a casual meal. The affordable plate price means the group does not necessarily have to settle on one expensive restaurant meal.

For anyone trying to keep dining expenses under control, promotions like this can make eating out a little easier on the wallet.

Plan the Visit Before the Promotion Ends

The biggest thing to remember is that this is a three-day-only promotion. It runs from 7 to 9 October 2026, so there is a very small window to take advantage of the offer.

If sushi is already on the list of favourite foods, this is a particularly easy promotion to consider. More than 80 varieties, every plate at $1.50++ and a convenient Hougang Mall location make it an appealing choice for a casual sushi feast.

It is also a good opportunity for people who have been meaning to try more varieties of sushi but normally stick to just a few familiar choices. At the promotional price, adding an extra plate or trying something new feels much less of a gamble.

Just remember the 40-minute dining limit, plan the visit accordingly and arrive ready to make the most of the available selection.

For sushi lovers looking for a reasonably priced meal this week, Sushi Express Hougang Mall is certainly worth considering. With all plates available at $1.50++ for a limited time, this is the kind of short promotion that is easy to miss if the dates are overlooked.

So, if a sushi feast sounds like a good idea, 7 to 9 October 2026 is the time to make the trip. Bring the family, meet up with friends or simply treat yourself to a plate-by-plate sushi session at Sushi Express Hougang Mall before this special price comes to an end.
