With selected sets available from just $16.90, this is an opportunity to enjoy a taste of Japanese culinary tradition without spending quite as much as usual.

Whether you are planning a quick lunch, looking for a satisfying dinner after work, or hoping to treat yourself to something special over the weekend, these sushi selections are worth checking out. The promotion features four different options, with savings of up to $4 compared with their usual prices. Better still, the offers are available across all DONKI stores in Singapore, subject to stock availability.

For fans of Japanese cuisine, this is a tempting opportunity to enjoy premium-style sushi at more attractive prices. Here is what you need to know before heading down.

What Is the DONKI Edomae Jo Fair?

Before choosing your favourite sushi set, it is worth understanding the idea behind the name of this promotion.

The word Edomae (江戸前) refers to a traditional Tokyo-style approach to sushi preparation. Historically associated with the Edo period, this style of sushi-making developed around techniques designed to enhance the flavour and preserve the freshness of seafood. Depending on the ingredient, traditional preparation methods may include curing, marinating and searing to bring out different flavours and textures.

Meanwhile, Jo (上) refers to a superior or higher-grade selection. In the context of this promotion, the name highlights an offering that features premium-style choices and a more indulgent sushi experience.

Together, Edomae Jo suggests a selection inspired by traditional Japanese sushi craftsmanship and quality ingredients. It is an appealing concept for anyone who appreciates the details that go into a good sushi meal, from the texture of the seafood to the balance of flavours in each bite.

Of course, the experience is not only about the name. The promotional prices make it easier to explore the available selections and decide which set suits your appetite and budget.

Four Edomae Jo Sushi Selections to Consider

One of the best things about this promotion is that shoppers have four different sushi selections to choose from. Whether you prefer a more substantial assortment or a straightforward nigiri set, there is an option to consider.

1. Edomae Jo Assorted Deluxe – $26.90 (Usual Price: $28.90)

For those who want to make their meal feel a little more special, the Edomae Jo Assorted Deluxe is available for $26.90, down from its usual price of $28.90.

This option offers a chance to explore a deluxe sushi assortment without paying the full usual price. It could be a suitable choice when you want to enjoy a more indulgent meal, perhaps as a personal treat after a busy week or as part of a relaxed evening at home.

The $2 saving may not appear enormous at first glance, but every little bit helps when enjoying restaurant-style food or premium ingredients. If you already have your eye on this selection, the promotion gives you a reason to pick it up before the offer ends.

2. Edomae Jo Classic Selection – $22.90 (Usual Price: $26.90)

If you are looking for a balance between variety and value, the Edomae Jo Classic Selection deserves your attention.

Priced at $22.90 instead of $26.90, this set offers a saving of $4, making it the biggest dollar saving among the four advertised selections. For shoppers who enjoy sushi but still want to keep an eye on their spending, this is a particularly attractive deal.

The Classic Selection could be worth considering for a convenient lunch or dinner when you want something more exciting than your usual takeaway. Rather than spending time preparing a meal yourself, you can pick up a sushi selection during your regular shopping trip and enjoy it at home or wherever you prefer to eat, subject to the product’s storage requirements.

If value for money is your main consideration, this is one of the first options to compare.

3. Edomae Jo Premium Masterpiece – $21.90 (Usual Price: $23.90)

Another option to look out for is the Edomae Jo Premium Masterpiece, which is available for $21.90 during the promotional period. Its usual price is $23.90, giving shoppers a saving of $2.

The word “Masterpiece” certainly makes this selection sound appealing to sushi enthusiasts who enjoy exploring different combinations and presentations. It could be an interesting choice if you want to try something different from your regular sushi order while taking advantage of the temporary price reduction.

For anyone who enjoys Japanese food, promotions like this can also be a good opportunity to discover a new favourite. If you usually purchase the same sushi set every time you visit DONKI, consider comparing the available selections before deciding what to bring home.

4. Edomae Jo Nigiri Selection – $16.90 (Usual Price: $19.90)

For shoppers who want the lowest-priced option in this promotion, the Edomae Jo Nigiri Selection is available for just $16.90, reduced from $19.90.

That represents a saving of $3, making it a good option to consider if you want to enjoy sushi while keeping your spending more manageable.

Nigiri is a familiar Japanese sushi style featuring a portion of seafood placed over a small serving of vinegared rice. Its appeal lies in the combination of the rice, seafood and the flavours of the ingredients themselves.

This selection could be suitable for a solo lunch, a simple dinner or a sushi craving that does not require a larger assortment. At $16.90, it is also the most affordable of the four advertised sets, giving budget-conscious shoppers a convenient starting point.

Keep in mind that the exact ingredients and assortment should be checked on the product packaging or with the store, as the promotional announcement does not provide a complete breakdown of each set’s contents.

Why Should You Visit DONKI During This Promotion?

There are several reasons why the Edomae Jo Fair is worth considering, particularly if Japanese food is already part of your regular dining routine.

First, you can enjoy savings on selected sushi sets. Depending on your choice, the advertised reductions range from $2 to $4. The savings can help make a premium-style sushi meal more affordable, especially if you already planned to buy sushi during this period.

Second, there are options at different prices. With selections ranging from $16.90 to $26.90, you can compare the available sets and choose one that fits your budget. You do not necessarily need to go for the most expensive option to enjoy the promotion.

Third, the promotion is convenient. DONKI shoppers can look out for the featured selections while visiting any participating DONKI store in Singapore. If you are already heading out to buy groceries, snacks or other Japanese products, checking the sushi section could save you a separate trip.

Finally, this is an opportunity to enjoy something different. Sushi can be a refreshing alternative to the usual takeaway meal, and the variety of selections gives you a chance to try a different combination from your normal order.

The promotion may also appeal to shoppers who are planning a casual meal at home. Instead of preparing every component from scratch, you can pick up a ready-prepared selection and make lunchtime or dinnertime a little more enjoyable.

Remember These Important Details Before You Go

The DONKI Edomae Jo Fair runs from 19 to 31 October 2026, so shoppers have a limited period to enjoy the advertised prices. As the promotion is available while stocks last, it is sensible not to leave your visit until the very last minute if you have a particular sushi selection in mind.

Although the offer is advertised across all DONKI stores in Singapore, availability may vary between outlets. A specific selection could sell out before the promotion officially ends, and the announcement does not guarantee that every set will remain available throughout the entire period.

Before purchasing, check the price displayed in-store and confirm the selection’s contents. If you are buying sushi to eat later, follow the storage and consumption instructions provided on the packaging, as fresh seafood products require appropriate handling.
