Looking for something fun to do in Singapore this week without spending too much money? If you enjoy watching movies, listening to live music or discovering entertaining community activities, there is a good reason to visit Our Tampines Hub from 12 to 18 October 2026. This popular community destination is bringing a range of programmes to Festive Plaza and Central Plaza, giving residents and visitors opportunities to enjoy free entertainment throughout the week.

With free movie screenings, live performances by local artistes and other community programmes on the schedule, there is plenty to look forward to for anyone hoping to spend quality time with family and friends. Best of all, selected entertainment is available without an admission fee, making this an attractive option for those who want to enjoy a pleasant outing while keeping their entertainment budget under control.

Instead of spending money on cinema tickets or looking for expensive weekend activities, why not explore what is happening at Our Tampines Hub? Whether you are planning a family outing, meeting friends or simply looking for something different to do after a busy day, this week-long programme offers a convenient way to enjoy Singapore’s community entertainment scene.

1. Catch FREE Movie Screenings Without Spending on Cinema Tickets

Watching a movie is one of the easiest ways to unwind, but a trip to the cinema can become expensive, especially when bringing several family members along. Once tickets, snacks and drinks are added together, the total cost can quickly increase.

The free movie screenings at Our Tampines Hub offer an alternative for anyone who enjoys watching films and wants to make the most of their leisure time without paying for admission.

From 12 to 18 October 2026, visitors can check the weekly programme schedule to find out which movie screenings are available and when they are taking place. It is a useful opportunity to plan a casual outing around a screening that suits the family’s schedule.

Families with children, couples looking for a simple date idea and groups of friends searching for affordable entertainment can all consider adding this programme to their weekly plans. Rather than staying home because entertainment costs are adding up, visitors can explore a free community event and enjoy a different atmosphere.

Remember to check the official programme before travelling, as the specific movie titles and screening times should be confirmed through the published schedule.

2. Enjoy Live Music and Performances by Local Artistes

If movies are not your only interest, there is another reason to visit Our Tampines Hub during this period. The programme also features live music and other performances by talented local artistes.

Live entertainment brings a different kind of enjoyment to an outing. There is something special about experiencing a performance in person, hearing the music and sharing the atmosphere with other members of the community.

These performances also provide an opportunity to discover local talent. Whether you enjoy music or simply appreciate watching performers entertain a crowd, the programme offers a pleasant way to spend some time outside your usual routine.

Since the performances are part of the community programming at Our Tampines Hub, visitors can check the weekly schedule to find out which acts are appearing and when they can catch them.

You do not necessarily need to plan an entire day around a performance. You could arrange to meet friends, visit the venue for a scheduled show and then continue with your other activities. Alternatively, make it part of a longer family outing by exploring the surrounding facilities before or after the entertainment.

For anyone who enjoys discovering new experiences without paying for expensive tickets, these live performances are worth considering.

3. Explore More Community Activities Throughout the Week

The entertainment programme does not stop at movies and live performances. Our Tampines Hub also features additional community programmes and activities, giving visitors more reasons to look at the weekly schedule before deciding when to visit.

This variety is one of the biggest advantages of community events. Different activities may appeal to different age groups, so families and friends can look for something that matches their interests rather than relying on a single attraction.

If you live in Tampines or nearby neighbourhoods, Our Tampines Hub can be a convenient place to discover local activities and spend time outside the home. Visitors from other parts of Singapore can also consider combining the event with a meal, shopping or other leisure activities in the surrounding area.

The important thing is to plan ahead. Since the programme may include different activities on different days, checking the official schedule will help you decide which date offers the most suitable experience for your group.

4. A Budget-Friendly Outing for Families and Friends

One of the main reasons to consider this programme is its affordability. Finding enjoyable activities that do not require expensive tickets can make a real difference to a household’s monthly budget.

Parents often look for ways to keep children entertained during school holidays, weekends and free time. Meanwhile, adults may want to catch up with friends without committing to costly dining experiences or paid attractions.

Free community entertainment offers a practical alternative. You can enjoy a movie screening, watch a live performance or explore the available programmes while keeping more of your money for other priorities.

For larger families, the savings can be particularly worthwhile. If several people attend a free event together, avoiding admission charges means the group can enjoy an outing without the usual ticket expenses.

There is also no need to turn every leisure activity into a major occasion. Sometimes, a simple visit to a community venue, an enjoyable performance and a little time spent together are enough to create a memorable afternoon or evening.

Just remember that free entertainment does not necessarily mean every expense is covered. Transport, food, drinks and any additional activities may still cost money, so it is sensible to set a budget before heading out.

5. Why Should You Visit Our Tampines Hub for This Promotion?

The biggest attraction is the opportunity to enjoy a variety of entertainment at no admission cost for the advertised free programmes. With movie screenings, live music, local performances and other community activities, there are several possibilities to explore between 12 and 18 October 2026.

Here are a few reasons to consider making the trip.

First, it is kinder to your wallet. Free screenings and performances allow you to enjoy your leisure time without paying the usual admission fees associated with many entertainment venues.

Second, it offers something different from your usual routine. Instead of spending another evening at home or visiting the same places, you can discover community activities and enjoy a change of scenery.

Third, it is suitable for spending time together. Families, couples and groups of friends can use the programme as an opportunity to meet up and share an enjoyable experience.

Fourth, it gives you a chance to support local talent. Watching local artistes perform is a simple way to appreciate the creative activities taking place within Singapore’s communities.

Finally, the range of programmes gives you flexibility. You can choose a particular screening or performance, or explore the schedule to see whether several activities fit into one visit.

6. Plan Your Visit Before Heading Down

The activities take place at Festive Plaza and Central Plaza, Level 1, Our Tampines Hub, Singapore. As the programme runs for a full week, visitors have several dates to consider when planning their outings.

Before leaving home, take a few minutes to review the official weekly programme at https://go.gov.sg/othl1programming. Check the dates, start times and venues for the activities you want to attend, especially if you are travelling with children or coordinating plans with friends.

It is important to note that programme schedules are accurate at the time of printing but may be changed without prior notice at the discretion of Our Tampines Hub. Checking the latest information before travelling can help you avoid disappointment.

If you have a particular movie screening or live performance in mind, allow enough time to arrive at the correct location. You may also wish to plan your transport and meal arrangements in advance so that the outing remains comfortable and affordable.

Since the event includes multiple programmes, it is worth checking whether the activities you are interested in take place on the same day or at different times throughout the week.
