If you are looking for a practical mobile plan for your parents or grandparents, Singtel has a 10.10 promotion that may be worth checking out. From 7 October 2026 onwards, seniors aged 60 and above can enjoy one free month of the hi! Seniors Plan, making it a timely opportunity for families who want to help their older loved ones stay connected without spending too much on mobile services.
The promotion is centred around the hi! Seniors Plan, which is priced at just $7 per month. For that monthly price, seniors can get a generous 500GB of data, together with 12GB of worldwide roaming across selected destinations in APAC, plus free data rollover. For someone who regularly uses a smartphone to stay in touch with family and friends, this can provide plenty of room for everyday mobile use.
The offer is particularly interesting because smartphones have become an important part of everyday life for seniors. A quick video call with children or grandchildren, checking messages from family groups, watching videos, browsing Facebook or simply keeping up with what is happening online can all use mobile data. Having a large data allowance means seniors do not necessarily have to worry about running out of data too quickly.
A 10.10 deal designed with seniors in mind
The 10.10 shopping period is usually associated with online bargains, but Singtel is giving families another reason to take a closer look this year. Instead of buying another item that may eventually be forgotten in a cupboard, this promotion offers something that can be useful throughout the year.
The biggest attraction is undoubtedly the one free month of the hi! Seniors Plan for eligible customers aged 60 and above. It gives seniors an opportunity to try the plan while giving their families a chance to potentially reduce their mobile expenses.
At $7 per month, the plan is also relatively straightforward to understand. There are no complicated calculations involved when considering the basic monthly cost. Seniors get a substantial data allowance, roaming benefits and rollover data as part of the plan.
Of course, customers should check Singtel’s applicable terms and conditions before signing up, as eligibility and promotional requirements may apply.
500GB gives seniors plenty of room to stay connected
One of the standout features of this promotion is the 500GB data allowance. That is a substantial amount of mobile data for a monthly plan and should be more than sufficient for many common smartphone activities.
For example, seniors can use their phones to make video calls with family members, browse social media, read news, listen to music and watch online videos. They can also use navigation apps when travelling around Singapore or searching for places to visit.
For families with elderly parents living independently, having enough mobile data can also make communication more convenient. Instead of worrying about whether a parent has sufficient data left on their plan before making a video call, a generous allowance provides greater peace of mind.
It is worth remembering that actual data usage varies from person to person. Someone who frequently streams high-resolution video may use data much faster than someone who mainly sends messages and makes occasional calls. Nevertheless, 500GB gives plenty of breathing room for typical smartphone use.
Useful roaming allowance for seniors who travel
Another feature that makes the promotion more interesting is the inclusion of 12GB worldwide roaming across APAC destinations.
For seniors who travel occasionally, roaming can be an important consideration when choosing a mobile plan. Staying connected while overseas means they can contact family members, use maps, check travel information and communicate through messaging apps without having to rely entirely on public Wi-Fi.
This could be especially useful for seniors who travel with family members or take holidays around the Asia-Pacific region. Having roaming data included in the plan can make travelling more convenient and reduce some of the hassle involved in arranging connectivity before a trip.
As with any roaming offer, customers should check the specific destinations and applicable terms before travelling to make sure their intended country is covered.
Free rollover means unused data does not simply go to waste
Singtel is also highlighting free rollover as part of the hi! Seniors Plan. This can be useful for customers whose monthly data usage changes from one month to another.
For example, a senior might spend more time at home one month and use Wi-Fi for most online activities. The following month, they may spend more time outside and use mobile data more frequently. With rollover, unused data can potentially carry forward according to the plan’s terms rather than simply disappearing at the end of the billing period.
This makes the plan more flexible for people whose mobile habits are not always consistent.
Why families should take a closer look at this deal
This promotion is not necessarily just about finding the cheapest mobile plan available. For families, it is about finding a plan that offers useful features without becoming unnecessarily complicated.
The combination of $7 monthly pricing, 500GB data, 12GB APAC roaming and free rollover gives seniors several practical benefits in one package. The additional free month makes the 10.10 promotion even more appealing for eligible customers.
It is also a good opportunity for younger family members to help their parents, grandparents, Ah Ma or Ah Gong review their current mobile arrangements. Sometimes seniors continue using the same mobile plan for years without checking whether it still suits their needs. A promotion like this provides a good excuse to compare the existing plan with another option.
If their current mobile usage is mainly centred around messaging, video calls, social media and browsing, the generous data allowance may be particularly attractive.
A useful deal for staying in touch
Mobile connectivity is no longer simply about making traditional phone calls. For many seniors, smartphones have become an important way to stay connected with their families.
A grandparent can video call their grandchildren, receive photos from family members, join a family chat, watch an instructional video or search for information online, all from the same device. A suitable mobile plan can make those everyday activities much easier.
That is why the Singtel 10.10 promotion is worth considering, especially for families who are already thinking about changing a senior family member’s mobile plan.
Eligible seniors aged 60 and above can enjoy one free month, while the ongoing plan is priced at $7 per month. With 500GB of data, 12GB worldwide roaming across APAC and free rollover included, there is plenty to explore.
Those interested can find out more and check the latest terms directly through Singtel’s hi! Seniors Plan page before making a decision.
Overall, this is a straightforward 10.10 promotion that could be especially useful for families looking after the mobile needs of older loved ones. Rather than focusing only on the promotional free month, it is worth looking at the full package and deciding whether the $7 monthly plan, data allowance, roaming benefits and rollover features match the senior user’s everyday needs.
For eligible seniors, the free first month makes this an even better time to take a closer look.
