Translated literally, couture is French for dressmaking, while haute means high. Hence Haute Couture are garments that are created as one off pieces for a specific client and are usually made of luxurious materials with extravagant details and require top-notch skills and expertise.
In this workshop, we will be focusing on illustrating recent runway looks from Couture Houses such as Dior, Valentino, Elie Saab, Giambattista Valli and more. You will be introduced to a variety of art media beyond pencils and paint and you will get to explore and discover new materials that would make your Couture illustrations pop!
Contrary to common perception, learning to draw fashion illustrations need not be intimidating. Ideal for beginners or more experienced participants. It will be an intensive class but we guarantee it will be fun!
