29 August-19 December 2026: DBS/POSB PayLah!, $3 PayLah! Saturday Cashback Promotion for Hawker Meals, Wet Markets and Heartland Shopping

DBS-POSB-PayLah-3-PayLah 29 August-19 December 2026: DBS/POSB PayLah!, $3 PayLah! Saturday Cashback Promotion for Hawker Meals, Wet Markets and Heartland Shopping

Saturday is often the day when Singaporeans head out for breakfast, pick up groceries, visit the wet market, grab a quick lunch or take care of a few household errands. These small weekend purchases may not seem like much individually, but when they are added together, the spending can quickly become noticeable.

From 29 August to 19 December 2026, DBS/POSB is giving PayLah! users another reason to make their Saturday purchases a little more worthwhile. The PayLah! Saturday cashback promotion is returning for its fourth year, offering 100% cashback capped at $3 every Saturday at selected participating hawker stalls, coffee shops, wet markets and heartland shops across Singapore.

For anyone who already uses DBS PayLah! for everyday payments, this is a fairly simple saving opportunity. There is no complicated voucher to collect or minimum spending requirement mentioned for the cashback itself. Instead, an eligible purchase of up to $3 can effectively be returned in full, subject to the campaign’s weekly availability.

The catch is that the promotion works on a first-come, first-served basis, so Saturday shoppers should not wait too long before making their eligible purchase.

Up to $3 cashback every Saturday

The main attraction is easy to understand. Eligible PayLah! users can receive 100% cashback on one qualifying transaction every Saturday, with the cashback capped at $3.

So, if the qualifying purchase costs $2, the cashback would be $2. Spend $3 and the cashback would be $3. If the bill comes to $5, the maximum cashback remains $3.

That makes the offer particularly useful for smaller everyday purchases. A simple breakfast item, drink, snack or other qualifying purchase could potentially be enough to make use of the weekly cashback.

There is, however, an important limit. Each eligible user can redeem the cashback once per Saturday, so it is worth choosing the purchase carefully rather than using the promotion on the first small transaction without checking what else may be needed that morning.

The cashback becomes available from 6am every Saturday, and only the first 160,000 eligible PayLah! users each Saturday can receive the reward.

More cashback rewards are available this year

There is some encouraging news for shoppers who missed the campaign in previous years. DBS/POSB says that 2.7 million cashback rewards will be released throughout the 17 Saturdays covered by this year’s promotion.

That works out to around 160,000 rewards being made available each Saturday, with the overall number of rewards reportedly around 40% higher than last year.

With the promotion running from late August through December, there are plenty of Saturday opportunities to try for the cashback. However, the fact that there are more rewards does not mean that shoppers should assume cashback will remain available all day.

The rewards are limited every Saturday, meaning popular periods could see the allocation claimed relatively quickly.

How to claim the PayLah! cashback

Using the promotion is relatively straightforward, but shoppers should first make sure that the merchant is participating.

At selected heartland shops, wet markets and coffee shops, customers can look for the POSB campaign wobbler displayed at merchants accepting NETS QR or PayNow UEN QR payments.

For participating hawker stalls, shoppers should look out for an SGQR code with the PayLah! logo or a PayLah! sticker.

Once a participating merchant has been identified, customers can scan the relevant QR code and complete the payment using DBS PayLah!. If the transaction meets the campaign requirements and cashback is still available for that Saturday, the qualifying amount, up to $3, will be credited directly into the user’s PayLah! account.

Customers can then check their transaction history within the app to see whether the cashback has been credited.

Check the PayLah! app before spending

One of the most important things to remember is that seeing a merchant accept PayLah! does not automatically mean that the transaction qualifies for this particular campaign.

There are participating merchant lists and exclusions, so shoppers should check the details before making a purchase. Some shops located inside commercially owned malls and certain business categories are excluded from the promotion.

It is also sensible to check the PayLah! homepage before paying. The campaign banner at the top of the app can indicate whether the Saturday cashback is still available.

If all the cashback rewards for the day have already been claimed, the banner will show “FULLY REDEEMED”.

This small step could save shoppers from assuming that a payment will qualify when the day’s allocation has already run out.

For the latest merchant list, campaign information and full terms and conditions, customers can refer to the DBS PayLah! Saturday Savings page before heading out.

Why this could be worth using

A $3 saving might not sound huge on its own, but the appeal of this promotion is that it fits into purchases that people are already making.

Instead of buying something specifically because it is on promotion, shoppers can potentially receive cashback while having breakfast at a participating hawker stall, buying something from the wet market or picking up everyday essentials from a neighbourhood shop.

For families and regular weekend shoppers, these smaller savings can add up over several weeks. Since the campaign covers 17 Saturdays, there are multiple opportunities to take advantage of the offer, although each user remains limited to one cashback redemption per Saturday.

It can also be useful for people who prefer shopping in neighbourhood areas rather than travelling to large shopping centres. The campaign is specifically aimed at selected hawkers, wet-market stallholders, coffee shops and heartland merchants, making it relevant to ordinary weekend routines.

More Saturday savings on eggs and rice

The PayLah! cashback promotion is also part of the wider DBS Saturday Savings programme.

Another offer under the programme focuses on everyday grocery staples, with $3 off selected eggs and $3 off selected rice every Saturday at participating Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets islandwide.

That separate promotion is available to customers paying with eligible DBS/POSB credit or debit cards. According to DBS, more than 440,000 egg and rice offers have already been redeemed, resulting in more than $1.3 million in collective savings.

This gives shoppers another reason to look out for Saturday promotions, particularly at a time when groceries and everyday household expenses remain an important part of the weekly budget.

Supporting Singapore’s neighbourhood businesses

There is also another side to the promotion beyond the cashback itself.

Participating hawkers, wet-market stallholders and heartland businesses can benefit when customers choose to spend in their neighbourhoods. DBS says participating merchants recorded a 50% increase in Saturday PayLah! earnings during last year’s campaign.

That makes the promotion interesting for both sides. Customers get the chance to reduce the cost of an eligible purchase, while neighbourhood businesses can potentially benefit from additional Saturday traffic and digital payment activity.

With more cashback rewards being released this year, the campaign could bring even more attention to participating heartland merchants throughout the promotion period.

Make Saturday savings part of the routine

The best way to approach this deal is not to treat it as a reason to spend unnecessarily. Instead, shoppers can simply keep it in mind when they are already planning a Saturday purchase.

Before paying, check whether the merchant participates, open the PayLah! app to see whether cashback is still available, and remember that the daily allocation begins from 6am and is limited to the first 160,000 eligible users.

The $3 PayLah! Saturday cashback promotion is especially appealing because it can turn an ordinary weekend purchase into an opportunity for a small but immediate saving. Whether it is a hawker meal, a wet-market purchase or something picked up from a participating heartland shop, every dollar returned is money that can stay in the wallet for another purchase.

For those who regularly use DBS PayLah!, the promotion is certainly worth keeping on the radar from 29 August until 19 December 2026. Just remember that participating merchants, transaction requirements and available cashback can vary, so checking the latest information before paying is the safest way to avoid missing out.
