If you happen to take a train to work from Tampines MRT station, you might have noticed a Prudential booth that’s a little unusual. That’s because they are challenging commuters to a fitness challenge – complete 20 squats within 40 seconds.
What’s more, you get a free single-trip ride (same day) on the MRT if you complete it successfully.

Brand promoting aside, doing squats as part of your daily fitness routine is actually pretty good for your body.
A single squat works your arms, legs and core muscles, improving your upper and lower body strength all at the same time. They also help you burn more fats compare to other exercises and prevent injuries by strengthening your stabilizer muscles.
