- Here are some safety precautions to take:
Purchase PMDs with the UL2272 Certification Mark. Refer to LTA’s website for details. - Use a manufacturer-recommended power adapter with Safety Mark.
- When charging, put them on hard flat surface to dissipate heat optimally.
- When charging, keep the batteries and PMD away from flammable/combustible materials and escape path.
- Check the batteries for damages/deformities like swelling, corrosion, leakage or burn marks.
- Avoid overcharging the batteries, particularly overnight. Plug the charger into a Smart Plug that you can schedule to switch off.
- Place a Smart Smoke Sensor where you charge your PMD for instant detection and alert.
