Getting ready for a new school year can be an exciting experience, but parents know that buying textbooks, assessment books, stationery and other school essentials can quickly become a time-consuming and expensive task. With so many items to prepare before the first day of school, having a convenient way to organise everything can make a real difference.

Fortunately, POPULAR Bookstore Singapore is making school preparations easier with its online textbook ordering service, which opens on 23 October 2026 onwards. Instead of spending hours travelling between shops, checking book titles and queuing at the cashier, parents can prepare their children’s school booklists and arrange their purchases online from the comfort of home.

Even better, shoppers can enjoy several promotional benefits, including 5% off school textbooks for POPULAR Members, discounts of up to 70% on selected school supplies, a $5 discount on their next purchase with a minimum nett spend of $120, and delivery fees starting from just $9.90. These offers could be particularly useful for families who need to purchase several textbooks and school essentials in preparation for the upcoming academic year.

For parents looking to save time, manage their school shopping budget and avoid unnecessary last-minute stress, this is a promotion worth checking out.

Make School Textbook Shopping Easier with POPULAR

One of the biggest challenges when preparing for a new school year is making sure that every required textbook is on the shopping list. Different subjects require different books, and students moving to a new level may have a completely different set of learning materials to purchase.

POPULAR’s online textbook ordering service offers a convenient alternative to visiting a physical bookstore. Parents can refer to their completed school booklists and use the online service to organise their textbook purchases more easily.

This is especially helpful for busy working parents who may not have the time to visit multiple outlets during the week. Rather than squeezing textbook shopping into an already packed schedule, they can prepare their orders online and make school preparations more manageable.

The online service is also worth considering for families with more than one school-going child. With multiple booklists to handle, organising the required textbooks in advance can help parents keep track of their purchases and reduce the chances of overlooking an essential item.

Online ordering opens on 23 October 2026, so families can start planning ahead and visit the official textbook ordering page to find out more.

Enjoy 5% Off School Textbooks for POPULAR Members

Textbooks are among the most important purchases for a new school year, but the total cost can add up when students need books for several subjects.

The good news is that POPULAR Members can enjoy 5% off school textbooks under this promotion, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Although 5% may seem like a modest discount at first, every saving can help when parents are purchasing multiple books. For example, if a qualifying textbook order totals $200 before the discount, a 5% saving would amount to $10, assuming the entire amount is eligible.

Families preparing booklists for several children may find it worthwhile to check the membership offer before placing their orders. Every dollar saved on required school materials can be put towards other expenses, such as stationery, school bags, uniforms and daily school needs.

Parents should review the applicable membership requirements and promotional terms before completing their purchases, as eligibility and exclusions may apply.

Save More on School Supplies with Discounts of Up to 70%

Textbooks are only one part of the school preparation checklist. Students also need notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, correction products, files and other stationery to support their daily lessons.

To help shoppers prepare, POPULAR is also offering up to 70% off selected school supplies, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

This is one of the highlights worth exploring because stationery is made up of many smaller purchases that can become surprisingly expensive when added together. Buying several notebooks, writing instruments and other classroom essentials for one student is manageable, but the total can increase considerably for families with multiple children.

A promotion offering discounts of up to 70% provides an opportunity to look for better prices on eligible products. Rather than purchasing every item at its regular price, shoppers can check the available discounted supplies and prioritise the products they genuinely need.

It is a good idea to prepare a checklist before browsing. Start with the items required by the school, then look for suitable discounted alternatives where available. This approach helps prevent unnecessary purchases simply because an item is on sale.

Do remember that the advertised discount is up to 70%, so the actual savings will depend on the products selected and the applicable promotional conditions.

Get $5 Off Your Next Purchase with a Minimum $120 Nett Spend

Another benefit available through the promotion is a $5 discount on the next purchase with a minimum nett spend of $120, subject to the terms and conditions.

For families that regularly purchase books, educational materials and stationery, this additional saving could be useful when planning future shopping trips.

For example, parents who need to replenish their children’s school supplies later in the year may be able to use the discount towards a qualifying purchase, provided they meet the minimum spending requirement and comply with the voucher’s conditions.

However, shoppers should check the full promotional details to understand how the offer is issued, when it can be redeemed, its validity period and whether any products or payment methods are excluded.

The best way to benefit from a spending-based promotion is to buy items that are already on the shopping list rather than adding unnecessary products just to reach the required amount. This keeps the purchase practical while allowing families to take advantage of eligible savings.

Delivery Fees Starting from Just $9.90

One of the most appealing aspects of online textbook ordering is the convenience of delivery.

Carrying a large collection of textbooks and school supplies home from a bookstore can be tiring, particularly when several children require different books. Parents who travel by public transport may also find it inconvenient to transport bulky or heavy purchases.

POPULAR’s online textbook ordering promotion offers delivery fees starting from $9.90, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Having the order delivered can save time and reduce the need to make a separate trip to collect school materials. This may be especially useful for households with busy schedules, parents managing other family responsibilities or shoppers ordering a substantial number of books.

Before placing an order, check the delivery arrangements, available delivery options and final charges. The advertised starting fee does not necessarily apply to every order, as the actual delivery cost may depend on the applicable conditions.

It is also sensible to order early and allow sufficient time for the textbooks to arrive before school begins. This gives families more time to check their purchases and identify any missing items.

Why Should You Take Advantage of This POPULAR Promotion?

The biggest reason to consider this offer is that it combines convenience with several opportunities to save on school essentials.

Instead of treating textbook shopping as a rushed last-minute task, parents can use the online service to prepare their orders in advance. The member discount helps reduce eligible textbook costs, the school supply promotion offers opportunities to save on stationery, and the additional $5 discount may provide further value on a qualifying future purchase.

The delivery option is another practical advantage for families who would prefer not to carry heavy books home themselves.

This promotion may also be useful for students and parents who prefer to plan their spending carefully. By reviewing the school booklist, identifying essential stationery and checking the available discounts before ordering, shoppers can make more informed purchasing decisions.

To get started, gather the completed school booklist, confirm the student’s level and required titles, review the available promotional benefits and compare the final costs before checking out.

Remember that the most attractive advertised discount does not automatically mean every product is eligible. Checking the terms and conditions will help avoid confusion and ensure that shoppers understand the benefits available to them.
