Sushi lovers in Singapore have another reason to look forward to their afternoon food breaks! If you enjoy having a quick sushi fix without spending too much, Sushi Express Singapore is bringing back an attractive lunchtime-to-afternoon treat with its Black Plate Happy Hour Promotion at Century Square. For five days only, diners can enjoy selected black plate sushi at a special price of just $1.80++ per plate, down from the usual price of $2.00++.

Running from 2 to 6 November 2026, this limited-time promotion is a good opportunity for sushi fans to enjoy their favourite Japanese-inspired bites at a slightly lower price. Whether you are working nearby, shopping around Tampines, meeting a friend for an afternoon catch-up or simply looking for something delicious to eat between meals, this offer gives you another reason to visit Sushi Express at Century Square.

The best part? You do not need to wait until dinner to satisfy your sushi cravings. The promotion is available daily between 3pm and 5pm, making it an ideal afternoon food stop for anyone who happens to be in the area.

Enjoy Black Plate Sushi at Just $1.80++ Per Plate

The highlight of this promotion is undoubtedly the discounted black plate sushi. Instead of paying the usual $2.00++ per plate, diners can enjoy each qualifying black plate at just $1.80++ during the promotional hours.

Although the difference is $0.20++ per plate, every little saving counts, especially when enjoying several plates in one sitting. Sushi Express is known for its convenient dining concept, where customers can enjoy different sushi selections without necessarily committing to a large meal.

For diners who enjoy trying different varieties, this promotion makes the experience a little more affordable. Rather than ordering just one or two plates, customers can take their time exploring the available selections while making the most of the special price.

It is also worth remembering that the promotional price applies to black plates only. Other plate colours and menu items should not be assumed to be included in the offer, so diners may wish to check with the restaurant staff before ordering.

Make Your Afternoon Break More Delicious

Afternoon breaks do not always have to involve coffee, cakes or the usual snacks. Sometimes, a few plates of sushi are all that is needed to make the day more enjoyable.

With the Black Plate Happy Hour available from 3pm to 5pm, Sushi Express at Century Square offers a convenient option for those looking for something different during the afternoon.

For office workers around Tampines, this could be a nice alternative to the usual afternoon snack routine. Instead of spending money on several small snacks throughout the day, diners can enjoy a proper sushi break and satisfy their cravings at the same time.

Students and shoppers can also take advantage of the timing. If you are already visiting Century Square for shopping, errands or other activities, dropping by Sushi Express between 3pm and 5pm could be a worthwhile addition to your outing.

The two-hour promotional window also makes it easier to plan a quick food stop without having to rearrange an entire day’s schedule.

A Good Excuse to Enjoy Sushi with Friends and Family

Food always tastes better when shared with good company, and this promotion can be a nice opportunity to catch up with friends or enjoy a casual meal with family members.

Instead of arranging an expensive restaurant dinner, diners can consider meeting at Sushi Express for an informal sushi session. Everyone can choose from the available selections according to their preferences, making it a flexible dining option for groups with different tastes.

The discounted black plates also provide a little extra value for those who enjoy having multiple servings. If you are someone who likes sampling different sushi varieties, the promotion offers an opportunity to enjoy more within your planned food budget.

However, there is an important limitation to take note of. Each bill is entitled to a maximum of 10 black plates at the promotional price of $1.80++ each. From the 11th black plate onwards, the usual price of $2.00++ will apply.

This means diners planning to enjoy a larger sushi feast should keep the plate limit in mind when ordering. If you are dining with a group, it is worth checking the applicable billing arrangements and promotion conditions with the restaurant team.

Important Promotion Timing and Conditions

Before heading down, there are a few important details to remember so that you do not miss out on the discounted prices.

First, the promotion is available only from 2 to 6 November 2026. This is a short five-day campaign, so diners should plan their visit within these dates.

Second, the promotional hours are strictly between 3pm and 5pm. The last entry is at 5pm, so arriving earlier is recommended, particularly if you want enough time to enjoy your meal.

Third, the $1.80++ price is applicable to black plates only, with a maximum of 10 promotional black plates per bill. Any additional black plates from the 11th plate onwards will be charged at the original price of $2.00++ each.

As the promotion is subject to terms and conditions, customers should check with Sushi Express staff regarding the full details before ordering. It is also advisable to confirm the availability of the qualifying selections when visiting.

Why Should You Visit Sushi Express Century Square for This Deal?

There are several reasons why this promotion is worth considering, particularly if you are already around Tampines.

The first reason is the opportunity to enjoy sushi at a lower price. While the savings may seem modest at just $0.20++ per black plate, it is still a welcome discount for regular sushi lovers. Those who enjoy several plates can make the most of the promotional pricing, subject to the 10-plate limit.

Secondly, the afternoon timing is convenient. Not everyone wants to have a full lunch or wait until dinner to eat. The 3pm to 5pm window provides an alternative for people who prefer a late lunch, an early snack or an afternoon meal.

Another reason is the location. Century Square is a convenient shopping destination in Tampines, making it easy to combine a sushi visit with shopping, errands or meeting friends. You do not need to plan a special trip solely for the promotion if you are already in the neighbourhood.

Most importantly, this is a straightforward deal that allows sushi fans to enjoy something they already love while paying a little less. There is no complicated spending requirement mentioned in the promotion details, although the stated plate limit and other terms and conditions still apply.

For anyone who enjoys casual sushi dining, even a small discount can make an ordinary afternoon meal feel a little more rewarding.
