If a new computer has been sitting on the shopping list for a while, this could be a good time to finally make that upgrade. BEST Denki Singapore is celebrating the grand opening of its Funan location with a special promotion running from 2 to 5 October 2026, giving shoppers the chance to enjoy savings on selected computer purchases.
The highlight of the promotion is particularly interesting for anyone who prefers spreading out the cost of a bigger purchase. Customers who pay with PayLater by Grab can enjoy up to $150 off a new computer, with flexible instalment options available over 8 or 12 months.
For shoppers who have been putting off replacing an ageing laptop, desktop or computer setup because of the upfront cost, an offer like this can make the purchase a little easier to manage. Instead of paying the full amount immediately, eligible shoppers can take advantage of the available PayLater by Grab instalment options while also enjoying the promotional discount.
And that is not the only reason to visit Funan during this promotion.
Grand Opening Means More Than Just a New Store
The BEST Denki Funan promotion is part of the store’s Epic Grand Opening Sale, making it an opportunity for shoppers to check out the new retail environment while looking for a good deal.
Funan is already well known among Singapore shoppers for its strong focus on technology, electronics, gaming, lifestyle and digital products. For anyone who enjoys browsing the latest gadgets, visiting BEST Denki at Funan can therefore be combined with a wider shopping trip around the mall.
Whether the goal is to replace an old computer, build a more comfortable home workstation or simply see what is available, a grand opening promotion gives shoppers another reason to make the trip.
The important thing is that the promotion is only available for a limited period, from 2 to 5 October 2026. That means shoppers who are interested should avoid leaving the visit until much later, particularly if they are hoping to take advantage of the promotional benefits.
Save Up to $150 When Paying with PayLater by Grab
The main deal to look out for is the up to $150 discount on a new computer when paying with PayLater by Grab.
The “up to” wording is important, as the actual discount may depend on the applicable computer purchase and promotional terms. Shoppers should therefore check the latest details before making payment and confirm which products qualify for the offer.
For a higher-value computer purchase, however, even a discount of $150 can make a noticeable difference to the final amount.
Another useful part of the promotion is the availability of 8-month or 12-month instalment options through PayLater by Grab. This gives eligible shoppers some flexibility when planning the cost of their purchase.
Rather than looking only at the sticker price, shoppers can consider how the purchase fits into their monthly budget. Of course, it is always sensible to check the applicable PayLater terms, eligibility requirements and repayment conditions before choosing an instalment plan.
For someone who already needs a new computer and has planned the purchase carefully, the combination of an immediate promotional saving and instalment flexibility could make this a more convenient time to shop.
There Is Also a Free $20 TAKA Voucher
The computer discount is not the only offer being promoted for the BEST Denki Funan grand opening.
The promotion also includes free $20 TAKA vouchers for the first 50 redemptions.
This is where timing becomes especially important. With only the first 50 redemptions mentioned in the promotion, the voucher component is limited and may be claimed quickly.
If you are planning to visit BEST Denki specifically because of this promotion, it makes sense to check the redemption requirements and head down earlier rather than assuming the vouchers will still be available later in the promotional period.
A $20 TAKA voucher can also be useful beyond the computer purchase itself, particularly for shoppers who regularly buy groceries or other everyday items. It effectively adds another potential saving to a shopping trip that already includes a computer promotion.
Because the voucher is limited to the first 50 redemptions, shoppers should check the official promotion information before visiting to understand exactly how the redemption works.
Why Consider Visiting During the Promotion?
There are several reasons this promotion may be worth a look, especially if a computer upgrade is already on the horizon.
First, there is the potential saving of up to $150 on an eligible new computer. A computer is rarely a small purchase, so finding a promotion that can reduce the overall cost is always worth considering.
Second, the 8- and 12-month PayLater by Grab options provide eligible shoppers with an alternative way to spread the cost. This can be particularly useful when purchasing a more expensive computer, provided the instalment arrangement fits comfortably within the shopper’s budget.
Third, the $20 TAKA voucher gives the promotion another benefit, although shoppers should remember that only the first 50 redemptions are available.
Finally, the promotion gives shoppers a reason to visit BEST Denki at Funan during its Epic Grand Opening. For technology enthusiasts, it can be an opportunity to explore the store, compare products and see whether there are other suitable offers available during the visit.
A Good Opportunity for an Upgrade
Computers are one of those purchases that are often easy to postpone. A laptop may still turn on, a desktop may still run everyday applications, and an older machine can sometimes be kept going for longer than expected.
However, when performance starts becoming a problem, the cost of constantly working around an ageing computer can become frustrating. Slow loading times, limited storage, older hardware and difficulty running newer software can all be signs that an upgrade is becoming worthwhile.
If you are already considering a new computer, the BEST Denki Funan promotion could therefore be worth checking out before the offer period ends.
There is no need to rush into buying something simply because there is a promotion. Instead, shoppers can use the occasion to compare their requirements, check the available models and see whether the promotional savings apply to the computer they actually want.
For those who have already decided that it is time for a new machine, though, the timing could be useful.
Check the Promotion Details Before Heading Down
As with any limited-time retail promotion, shoppers should check the latest terms and conditions before making a purchase. The computer discount may apply only to selected products or according to specific payment conditions, while the free TAKA voucher is limited to the first 50 redemptions.
