Orchard Road Singapore is having their Christmas on a Great Street now. Christmas is still a good few months away but the Orchard Road Business Association is well underway into preparing for the annual light-up along Singapore’s busiest shopping precinct and many more.
This year’s festivities run from 16 November 2019 – 1 January 2020 with a 14-metre main arch welcoming onlookers and drivers at the junction of Orchard Road/Scotts Road and over 6km coloured LED rope lights.
Welcome Arches
New this year, there will be another welcome arch located at the junction of Tanglin and Grange Rd.
Christmas Decor
A total of 187 lamp posts will be dressed in the form of a 5-metre Christmas tree across 3 zones – Tanglin, Orchard and Somerset.
There will also be lighted snowflakes and mini Santas baubles hanging on trees along the pavements.
Selfie Booths
There’s a miniature version of the welcome arch located in front of Ngee Ann City.
Take a selfie/wefie with the Stacking Mini Santas which you can place your selfie stick on one of their cute little hands.
Selfie stick not included.
Or this giant Mini Santa riding an illuminated reindeer at *SCAPE.
There’s also one of the lovey-doveys.
You can also help pull Santa’s reindeer in this trick-eye-museum-inspired piece.
Another must-visit is this 4-metre immersive tunnel formed by giant lit-up Christmas icons located at Grange Rd Car Park.
