The iPhone 18 Pro can deliver up to 34 hours of video playback, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max reaches up to 43 hours of video playback.
Charging has also been improved. With a wired charger, the iPhone 18 Pro can reach 50% charge in approximately 15 minutes, while wireless charging can reach the same level in around 30 minutes.
The larger Pro Max is particularly useful for people who often find themselves away from a charger. Apple says five minutes of wired charging can provide around seven hours of video playback on the Pro Max.
Of course, actual battery performance will depend on how the phone is used, but the combination of a larger battery and improved efficiency could make the new models appealing to frequent travellers, commuters and heavy smartphone users.
iOS 27 and the Next Step for Siri
The iPhone 18 Pro models arrive with iOS 27, which introduces additional Apple Intelligence capabilities and the beta release of Siri AI.
The updated Siri is designed to work with personal context from supported messages, emails, photographs and other applications. Onscreen awareness can also allow Siri to understand what is currently being displayed on the iPhone.
