UNIQLO Singapore has their new Doraemon Plush Toy. Enjoy Takashi Murakami × Doraemon UT Collection and many more.
A collaboration between Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and UNIQLO UT division gives birth to this unique yet gorgeous Doraemon Plush Toy.
For the first time ever, the Doraemon x Takashi Murakami Plush Toy will feature the lovable robotic cat covered with colourful work filled with characters Doraemon and Nobita, Doraemon’s secret gadgets, and Murakami’s characteristic flowers.
Apart from the colourful plush toy, UNIQLO will also be launching a new UT collection featuring Doraemon and the main characters.
They are priced at ¥1,500 each for men and ¥990 each for kids.
Contemporary artist Takashi Murakami was named in 2008 as one of ‘Time’s “100 Most Influential People.”
He is also known for corporate branding projects including Louis Vuitton, VANS, Shu Uemura, and Roppongi Hills, as well as collaborations with musicians like Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, and Yuzu.
Murakami is the president of Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd., an art production and management company that includes production studios and galleries. He actively exhibits his works around the world and in 2015, held his first private exhibition in Japan in 14 years, The 500 Arhats exhibition at the Mori Art Museum.
The Doraemon Plush Toy and UT Collection will be released in UNIQLO store at 5th Ave, New York on 26 April and on 25 May in UNIQLO Japan stores later this year.
