One of the most quintessential bag designs of all time, the Classic Lady Handbag is a difficult yet such a satisfying sew for bag crafters.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
- Ironing on of fusible batting and interfacing
- Basic straight stitch quilting with walking foot and guide
- Making of inner, lined bellow pockets
- Layering of interfacing to reinforce the top and bottom of the bag structure
- Sewing a bag with structured corners
- Overcoming machine sewing limitations with hand sewing
- Creating backstitches and whipstitches with hand sewing
- Punching and cutting holes to install a turn lock and screw-on grommets
- Creating a weave chain with machine and hand sewing
- Attaching the weave chain to the bag with T bars
- Making and pattern of a structured Classic Lady Handbag
- Hand stitching is required
