Singapore as a multiracial or multicultural country made out of the mixture of immigrants from across the world and having a peaceful life living with each other for a milestone back all the way, it is sometimes said that racism still exists somewhere in our beloved country.

\nAs we all know sometimes because of 1 bad person’s behavior, their action can somehow cloud another mindset on his same race origin. A Singaporean on 24 Jun voice out his frustration on the social media platform after he himself who is a Singaporean citizen and served 2 years of the National Service and he faced this problem when he was trying to rent a unit here in the island with 2 of his friends and stomp upon a case that the owner doesn’t take a certain race origin as tenants.<\/p>\n

In his comments, he said it is already 2020 now, and with the so much modern and advanced world now with technologies and information, given the past Black Lives Matter protest in the United States it somehow still exists here which is quite frustrating news for us. As he promised that he won’t reveal the agent and the owner of this but he said he is very disappointed and felt dispirited enough as it feels like he himself were rejected in his own country, while he has to respect the owner’s right to pick and choose whom he would like to rent his place but he was rejected without even give a chance to explain and get himself interview first by the owner and straight rejected because of his race.<\/p>\n
