There was an announcement made on Monday (23 Mar) where the airline announced that it will be reducing 96% of its capacity which was originally scheduled up to the end of April, grounding 138 out of 147 SIA and SilkAir planes.<\/p>\n

But that’s not all, as it looks like things may get worse, as SIA called a halt to the trading of its shares on Thursday (26 Mar). Singapore Airlines Ltd has gone into a rare trading halt \u201cpending an announcement\u201d, reported\u00a0Reuters<\/a> on Thursday (26 Mar).<\/p>\n

Many has predicting that there will\u00a0 many global airlines are set to go<\/em> bankrupt<\/strong><\/a> due to travel<\/a> restrictions brought on by the pandemic. Hopefully we will see some glimpse of light a new support measures for workers, businesses and households in response to Covid-19 that’s to be revealed by Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on Thursday (26 Mar) will help it out.<\/p>\n
