On April 20, a 35-year-old migrant worker (Case 62181) staying in the Westlife Woodlands Dormitory was found positive for Covid-19 despite receiving both doses of Covid-19 vaccination which his close contacts at the dormitory and his workplace were isolated and placed under quarantine.<\/p>\n
According to a joint press release by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) on April 21, the case’s roommates was placed under quarantine was found to be Covid-19 positive at a dedicated quarantine facility. 10 recovered workers have been found Covid-19 positive and the cases were immediately isolated and conveyed to the NCID for investigation on possible re-infection.<\/p>\n
Case 62181 is a 35 year old male Bangladesh national who is a Work Permit holder where he started developed a runny nose on April 16 but did not report any symptom, on the same day, he was tested for Covid-19 as a part of Rostered Routine Testing (RRT) which his result came back positive on April 18 and he was immediately isolated and conveyed to the National Centre for Infection Disease (NCID) in an ambulance.<\/p>\n
