OCBC Bank has announced on 18 March, OCBC user can check their account balance or withdraw money at eight of their ATMs machine around Singapore with face verification starting from 19 March onward. This new facial biometrics system is a step closer for accessing ATM without using card which the card can be skimmed or stolen.<\/p>\n

To use the face verification, one just need to select the relevant ATM service and enter their NRIC number then the user will be prompted to position their face within a frame on the screen for a web-enable camera to scan and verify their face. The first eight OCBC ATMs with the face verification will be:<\/p>\n

      OCBC Bank will be the first Bank to use the Singapore’s National Digital Identity infrastructure, SingPass Face Verification to securely verified a users banking transaction at ATMs without the need for ATM cards. Which means the user’s face will be matched and verified against the national biometric database of 4 million Singapore residents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
