For those looking to visit forest area which aren’t established parks or nature reserves should watch out for their own safety as the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) and the National Parks Board (NParks) cautioned in their media statement on 24 February which has drawn the public interest to areas like Clementi and Dover forests.<\/p>\n

In their statement the two agencies also reminded the public where these areas are not managed for recreation and public access where there are no paths and pavements and terrain. These areas also consist of regrowth vegetation with trees like Albizia, which are prone to falling and snapped branches.<\/p>\n

Previously where the viral video of a misty Clementi forest at dawn drew netizens attention where it has caught many by calling the green to be preserved. Since then, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has clarified\u00a0the Clementi forest has been zoned as “Residential (Subjected to Detailed Planning)” since the Master Plan 1998.<\/p>\n
