S’pore Footing 61% of JB-SG RTS Links Project by Forking out $2 Billion<\/p>\n

Singapore will be paying the lion’s share of the upcoming JB Singapore RTS link which will connect Woodlands North and Bukit Chagar in Johor and the RTS project is estimated to be costing around $3.27 billion (RM10 Billion). While the Singapore and Malaysia government would agree to split the cost of 61.39 with Malaysia paying $1.22 billion (RM 3.716 billion). While Singapore will be forking out about $2 Billion (RM 6.28 billion).<\/p>\n

The RTS Link will stretch about 4km and 2.7km of the route will be situated in Malaysia where it will be an above ground track. While the 1.3k of the route will be in Singapore while the portion will be situated underground and will connect to the Woodlands North MRT Station on Thomson-East coastline. And the depot RTS will be situated in Wadi Hana in Johor Bahru.<\/p>\n

As expected to open in 2026 the RTS link can ferry 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction easing congestion on the Causeway and a total of 300,000 passengers are expected to use the link per day.<\/p>\n
