One of the main attraction in Singapore<\/p>\n

During the period of pandemic, several businesses in the tourism industry are using the slowdown tourist period to upgrades and prepare themselves for the future upswing, for example Haw Par Villa is closed from October last year for the STB upgrading works and it will be completed in March 2021. Where the works include enhanced night lighting works, ventilation and more. While Resort World Sentosa (RWS) is also pushing ahead with their expansion plans which included the new attractions at the Universal Studios Singapore such as the Minion Park and Super Nintendo World.<\/p>\n

The project also included a waterfront complex with two hotels and eateries which will be completing in 2025 and currently visitor arrivals here are lowest in about for a decade due to the Covid-19 pandemic and there were only around 2.7 million visitor arrivals last year which is an 85.7% decrease for the first three quarters of last year. While more than 300,000 Singaporeans have used their $100 SingapoRediscovers vouchers (SRV) to book hotels, attractions and tours since the redemptions began on 1 December 2020. And the STB also mentioned that about 10 per cent, or about $36 million, of the $320 million package has been utilized.<\/p>\n
